Preparations are well under way for this year’s Denbigh Show which will take place on Saturday 23^rd August 2008, offering a great variety of family entertainment, and bringing together a whole host of local organisations in a celebration of the best of the Town. We are also proud, for the second year that children under sixteen will be admitted free of charge.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER?

This year, a variety of entertainment has been arranged. The day will be filled with live music including a traditional brass band (Royal Buckley Town Band), live Jazz from Jazz Rag and Irish Folk by The Weebag Band. Riders from the Flint & Denbigh Pony Club will perform their musical ride as seen at the ROYAL WELSH SHOW and the exciting mounted games will be on again this year. Clwb Mini Rygbi Dinbych will also be with us to show off their rugby skills. There will be arts & fire performance and lets see who can spot those living statues! You can enjoy the non affiliated horse jumping competition run by the Dyfnog Stud Farm or those who prefer a more relaxing activity can take part in the "make and take" pottery workshop. You can stroll around the classic car displays, owl stands or various craft stalls. Towering 24ft high above the ground, the rock climbing wall will offer an enchanting and gripping experience. Both adults and children will have an opportunity to enjoy this physical challenge. There will face painting, Punch & Judy, circus workshops and many different children's amusements.

DON'T MISS THE GRAND DRAW TO GET YOUR PRIZES: 1st £500, 2nd £100 and 3rd £50.

The Flower Show will offer visitors a 350ft marquee full of all kinds of flowers, fruits, vegetables, paintings, handcraft and much more with over 60 cups and trophies for the winners. There are also classes for children, crafts and cookery with numerous craft stalls offering a range of hand-made crafts and gifts.  Schedules for the competitions are available at Libraries in Denbigh, St Asaph and Ruthin and  Greenfingers Garden Centre. ... so hop on the free bus to the show field from Lenton Pool, Town Centre and Towns End half hourly from12.30pm until 6pm.
